Dorothy’s World Cup Classic Albums - Group Three

More from our World Cup 2018 training camp - where we’ve taken 24 classic album covers and mashed them up with 24 classic world cup moments with sometimes hilarious results.

In the run up to the 14th June we’ll be posting a handful of new images each day on Instagram Facebook and Twitter. Follow us to stay ahead of the game. #WorldCupAlbums

Tears For Fears - The Hurting
Messi in a bit of a mess at the end of the Germany v Argentina final in 2014. Alternatively substitute with any of England's own penalty 'villains' from the last 30 years.

The Clash - London Calling
Geoff Hurst and the final of England v West Germany, Wembley, London 1966. Did it or didn’t it cross the line? Thank god for Russian linesmen.

Coldplay - Parachutes
Football is a 'world in motion' alas they didn’t write that song, they treated us to 'viva la vida' instead.

Joy Division - Closer
It's hard to decide which was more embarrassing for Roberto Baggio at the 1994 World Cup in the USA...his penalty miss against Brazil in the final, or his ponytail masquerading as a mullet.

All 24 album covers are on display in our studio window in Liverpool, until England get knocked out the tournament - so you’d best be quick.
