Road to Nowhere: Road Trip - Free Festivals
Take a nostalgic trip to the free parties and festivals of the early 1990s when travellers and ravers (and their sound systems) played a relentless game of cat and mouse with the police and fought for their right to party.
Up to 40,000 people attended the week-long Castlemorton Common festival in 1992. An event that contributed to the passing of the 1994 Criminal Justice Act effectively outlawing the parties.
