Our NEW studio show provides an insight into the illustrative process of Dorothy’s friend and collaborator Malik Thomas who creates hyper-detailed cutaway drawings.
We've collaborated with Malik since 2015 on our Inside Information range of cutaway prints which celebrate iconic design classics from popular culture inc the Apple Mac, Minimoog, JVC Boombox, Nike Air Max and Stanley Kubrick's much-loved Arriflex Camera.
It's always a total pleasure to work with him so we are made up to be hosting this show in our studio.
The show has a hip-hop focus to to co-incide with the 50th anniversary of DJ Kool Herc’s Back to School Jam on 11th August and looks closely at Malik’s creative process. Featuring original sketches, short films and large format artworks that showcase the Malik's inspiration and the incredible amount of detail he packs into each of his illustrations.
