Anthony Burrill brings 'Joy! Pure Joy!' to the Baltic Triangle, Liverpool this Summer.
We are incredible excited to be hosting an exhibition of work on paper by internationally renowned graphic artist Anthony Burrill in our studio gallery from 24th July - 28th August 2026.

We have admired Anthony’s work from afar for years and are overjoyed to be showing (and selling) a selection of his most popular pieces including his iconic 2004 ‘Work Hard & Be Nice To People’ letterpress print (a powerful manifesto to live by) as well as more recent work from 2024 including his Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow screen prints which reflect on the importance of time.

The exhibition will also be launching a NEW COLLECTION of 'Joy! Pure Joy!' affordable limited edition screen prints and t-shirts designed by Anthony exclusively for the show. Plus we have an extra special surprise for our neighbours in the Baltic Triangle (more to be revealed on the 23rd July).

Limited edition prints will go on general sale (online) on Thursday 23rd July at 7pm. We expect demand to be high so please email studio@wearedorothy.com if you want to be added to a pre-release mailing list.
Exhibition opens to the public on Friday 24th July and runs until Friday 28th August 2026 at Dorothy, 22 Jordan Street, Liverpool, L1 0BP.

More about Anthony - Anthony Burrill is a graphic artist known for distilling ideas into bold, simple forms. Combining analogue craft with optimistic messaging, his work communicates with clarity and impact. Through collaborations spanning music, architecture, education, and culture, he continues to expand the possibilities of letterpress printing.
Rooted in a belief in the power of words, humour, and direct communication, Burrill’s distinctive style reflects a commitment to simplicity, curiosity, and creativity without boundaries.
His work is held in the permanent collections of the V&A, The Design Museum, and the Cooper Hewitt, and has been exhibited internationally at institutions including the Royal Academy, Walker Art Center, Triennale Milano, and Stedelijk Museum Breda.
Born in Lancashire, Burrill studied Graphic Design at Leeds Polytechnic and completed an MA at the Royal College of Art. He now lives and works in Rye, East Sussex.
